The short answer
Use LinkedIn's own scheduler unless the same image is also going to your other networks. It is free, it handles every post format LinkedIn has, and it looks further ahead than most tools.
Schedule a post on LinkedIn itself
- Click Start a post and write it as usual.
- Click the clock icon beside the Post button.
- Choose a date and time, then click Next and Schedule.
To see or change what is queued, open the same clock icon and choose View all scheduled posts. At the time of writing the window runs to about three months ahead, on both personal profiles and company Pages.
When a tool is the better choice
The case for a tool is repetition. If a product photo or an announcement graphic is going to LinkedIn and Instagram, Facebook and Threads, doing that natively means four uploads and four captions. In SOSPosting it is one upload: a photo post reaches up to seven networks, and the caption is written separately for each. That matters on LinkedIn in particular, where an Instagram caption full of hashtags reads badly.
- What it publishes to LinkedIn: image posts to your feed, with a caption of up to 3,000 characters.
- How far ahead: up to 60 days.
- Cost: 3 tokens per network for a photo, plus 7 once for AI captions across all of them.
What it does not do
Be clear-eyed about this before choosing. SOSPosting does not publish LinkedIn text-only posts, polls, documents or video, and LinkedIn is not among the networks a video post reaches. If most of what you share on LinkedIn is written commentary, stay with the native scheduler. The LinkedIn integration page lists exactly what is supported.
Frequently asked questions
Does LinkedIn have a built-in post scheduler?
Yes. In the post composer, the clock icon next to the Post button opens the scheduler. It is free and available on personal profiles and company Pages.
How far ahead can you schedule a LinkedIn post?
LinkedIn's own scheduler reaches about three months ahead at the time of writing. SOSPosting schedules up to 60 days ahead.
Can SOSPosting schedule text-only LinkedIn posts?
No. SOSPosting publishes image posts to your LinkedIn feed, each with a caption of up to 3,000 characters. For a text-only post, a poll or a document, use LinkedIn's own scheduler.
Can I post the same photo to LinkedIn and Instagram?
Yes. A photo post in SOSPosting can go to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads and Bluesky in one publish, with a separately written caption for each.
