What reaches both
One kind of post reaches both Facebook and WordPress:
| You upload | On Facebook | On WordPress |
|---|---|---|
| Product — a product with a photo and price | Promo photo posted to your Facebook Page. | Created as a WooCommerce product (needs WooCommerce API keys). |
What does not carry across
Worth knowing before you plan a batch — these are limits of the networks, not of the tool:
- Reel / Short video reaches Facebook but not WordPress.
- Social photo post reaches Facebook but not WordPress.
Limits worth knowing first
- Facebook: Posts go to a Facebook Page, never a personal profile.
- WordPress: Connected with a WordPress Application Password. WooCommerce products need a second credential pair (a WooCommerce REST key and secret) on top of it.
Connecting the two accounts
- Facebook connects with one click, through its own login screen.
- WordPress is connected with an app password or API token rather than a login redirect — it takes a minute longer, once.
Both connect once and stay connected; if a network expires its own token, the account is paused and you are emailed to reconnect it rather than left with posts silently failing.
How it works
- Connect Facebook and WordPress in Integrations.
- Upload your product once and pick both as targets.
- Let the AI write a caption per network, or write your own.
- Publish now, or schedule it. Each delivery is tracked separately.
Frequently asked questions
Can I post to Facebook and WordPress at the same time?
Yes. product posts reach both Facebook and WordPress from a single upload — you choose both as targets and publish once.
Does the caption have to be identical on Facebook and WordPress?
No. SOSPosting writes a separate, native caption for each network — the length, tone and hashtags that suit Facebook are not the ones that suit WordPress. You can edit either before publishing, or write both yourself.
What can I not send to both?
A vertical video post reaches Facebook but not WordPress. A photo post reaches Facebook but not WordPress. Those are limits of the networks themselves, not of the tool.
What happens if one of them fails?
Each network is delivered independently, so one failing does not block the other. A delivery that fails for good is refunded automatically — you are not charged tokens for a post that never went out.
See every combination on the cross-posting index, or read the setup guides for Facebook and WordPress.
