How analytics works: which posts reached people

Published

Posting to several networks is only half the job. The other half is knowing which of those posts did anything, without opening five separate dashboards to find out.

11 seconds, with music. The content on screen is an example; everything it shows is described below.

The short answer

The analytics dashboard rolls up the last 30 days of reach and engagement from Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, ranks your top posts, and, if you sell through Shopify, ties store revenue back to the posts that earned it.

What the film shows

  1. Thirty days of reach. Reach and engagement across your connected Facebook, Instagram and YouTube accounts, in one chart. Every figure in the film is sample data.
  2. Top posts. The posts that travelled furthest, ranked, with the network each one ran on.
  3. Revenue tied to posts. Product links carry UTM tags, and Shopify store revenue is reported against the posts that earned it.
  4. Two extras. A weekly email digest of the numbers, and trend ideas you can ask for when you do not know what to post next.

What it costs

The weekly digest costs 3 tokens per week and a trend scan costs 8 tokens each time you run one.

What it does not do

  • Per-post figures come from Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, the networks that report them. Other networks do not send views back.
  • Revenue attribution needs a connected Shopify store.
  • The numbers in the film are made up for the example.

Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Those are the networks that expose per-post views, likes and comments.

How is a sale linked to a post?

Product links carry UTM tags, and the dashboard reports Shopify store revenue against the posts that earned it. It needs a connected Shopify store.

The rest of the series

  • How it works: The whole product in one short film, with a page for each part of it.
  • Cross-posting: One video becomes five posts, one photo up to seven. What goes where, and what each network receives.
  • Telegram bot: Send the bot a photo or video, see the cost, confirm. The whole exchange in 11 seconds.
  • Posting API: One POST to publish, one GET for a status per network, and the three app reviews you skip.
  • AI captions: A few words from you become a caption written for each network. What it writes, and the one charge for it.
  • AI inbox: Comments in one inbox, buyers flagged, a reply drafted in the commenter's language for you to send.
  • Blog autopilot: Topics in, a pace chosen, articles published to your own WordPress site. And why one a day is the right number.
  • Google Ads audit: A nightly review, specific proposals with before and after values, your guardrails re-checked, and your approval.
  • Token pricing: Three numbers, four packs and a worked example: what a post costs when there is no monthly plan.
